(“First Team,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects mobile phone numbers and related information when you opt in to receive text messages from us. This policy applies to SMS and MMS messages sent through our website, job applications, client intake forms, employee communications, and our messaging platform, including Whippy AI.
1. Information we collect for SMSWhen you opt in to text messages, we may collect:
- Mobile phone number
- Name and role (job seeker, employee, or client contact), if provided
- Opt-in method, date, and time
- Message content you send or receive
- Delivery and interaction data (sent, delivered, failed, replies)
2. How you opt inYou may opt in by:
- Checking an SMS consent box onfirstteamstaffing.comor a related form
- Providing your mobile number to our team and agreeing to texts
- Replying to an invitation text (for example START or YES) after you requested contact
Consent is voluntary. You do not have to agree to texts to apply for a job, accept an assignment, or use our staffing services.
3. Types of messagesDepending on how you opted in, messages may include:
- Application, interview, and assignment updates
- Shift, onboarding, timesheet, and payroll reminders
- Job opportunities matching your interests
- Client and candidate coordination messages
- Answers to questions you text us
Message frequency varies. You may receive several messages during active hiring or assignment periods, and fewer at other times.
4. How we use SMS informationWe use this information only to:
- Send the messages you agreed to receive
- Respond to your texts
- Confirm opt-in and honor opt-out requests
- Keep required consent and compliance records
- Deliver messages through our texting provider
5. No sharing of SMS opt-in data for marketingMobile information and SMS opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.We may share your number only with service providers that send messages for us (currently including Whippy AI and underlying wireless carriers) solely to deliver texts and manage opt-outs. Those providers may not use your mobile information for their own marketing.We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

7. Message and data ratesMessage and data rates may apply. First Team does not charge for the texts. Your carrier’s plan does. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. RetentionWe keep opt-in and opt-out records and related message logs as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and carrier requirements, typically for at least five years after you opt out or the relationship ends, unless a longer period is required by law.
9. ChildrenOur SMS program is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect mobile numbers from children.
10. ChangesWe may update this policy. The current version will be posted at https://firstteamstaffing.com/sms-privacy-policy/ with a revised effective date.
